Clinical interests

A fully accredited Plastic Surgeon who has been on the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery since 2011 and is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. He has had extensive training in both general plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery and has a special interest in surgery of the Head and Neck.

Mr Matteucci provides the full range of Plastic Surgery including thetreatment of skin lesions and skin cancer through to major reconstructiveprocedures. He also provides the full range of cosmetic surgery including nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, surgical facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty,cosmetic breast surgery, body contouring and liposuction.

Mr Matteucci appreciates the enormous positive impact that well performed and appropriate cosmetic surgery can have on a patient’s self esteem and quality of life. He understands the importance of balance and harmony in cosmetic surgery and the importance of tailoring each patient’s treatment to achieve optimal results.  

He feels that excellent results can only be achieved by a thoroughunderstanding of the concerns and aspirations of each patient and will providepatients with an honest appraisal of their suitability of particularprocedures. He will explain the procedures carefully and in detail. He believes that patients must have a comprehensive understanding of the potential benefits and risks of their treatment, and appreciates that each patient is an individual and works with them to provide a bespoke package of care. Above all he is committed to provide the highest standard of care in the safest environments.

Academic background

Mr Matteucci graduated from Leeds Medical School in 1997. He pursued his Basic Surgical Training in Yorkshire and London. He began his career in Plastic Surgery in 2001 and has trained in units in London and across Yorkshire. He completed his Specialist Training in 2010 and undertook a prestigious Interface Specialty Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology in 2011.

He has published articles on a wide range of subjects in plastic surgeryjournals and presented at national and international meetings and been aninvited speaker at national meetings. He is extensively involved in trainingthe next generation of plastic surgeons and medical students and is an HonorarySenior Clinical Tutor at the Hull York Medical School. He is a trainer for theInterface Specialty Fellow is Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Professional Memberships

He is a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
