Flood Nightingale

Everyone may have seen recently on the news that Doncaster was badly affected by the floods. During this, our Staff Nurse Ganka, at Park Hill Hospital was one of the many affected by the flooding.

‘Ganka showed loyalty and commitment to ensuring the safety of our patients when a colleague was unable to get to work on nightshift and Ganka was cut off from returning to her home by working overnight and staying on the ward for a few days. Staff brought in toiletries in for her to use while she was resident and ensured that she got enough rest and food to be able to be comfortable while she was away from home. A true example of going above and beyond her duty.’ says our matron, Wendy Hewitt

Our hospital manager, Joanne Bedford, also added ‘Ganka is a great asset to Park Hill and a true advocate of the Ramsay Vision'.

From everyone at Park Hill we would just like to say a huge thank you to Ganka, we really can’t thank you enough!
